This award is granted to top publicly listed companies scoring at least 80 points in the ACGS assessment, which comprises 184 questions based on publicly available information from company websites. The scorecard evaluates companies on key governance principles, including protecting shareholder rights, equitable treatment of shareholders, transparency and accountability through timely information disclosure, board performance, and the board’s accountability to the company and shareholders. Higher scores indicate a stronger alignment with the Philippine Code of Corporate Governance and internationally recommended governance standards outlined by the ACGS.
“This accolade embodies BDO’s commitment to excellence in corporate governance. We consistently enhance our corporate governance processes and policies to achieve sustainable success and long-term value for our stakeholders,” said Nestor V. Tan, President and CEO of BDO Unibank.
