This Kdrama almost reminds me of "Oh My Ghost". The same feeling about the actress's lead and the ending. The female lead from Oh My Ghost was possessed by a virgin ghost who is confident while here on Mr Queen, the Queen from the Joseon era was possessed by a male chef's soul from the modern time. It is on a different level though because Mr Queen focuses more on the life of the Queen. We didn't get to see more of the chef's life.

Shin Hye-Sun as the Queen portraying with a man's soul is undeniably good! She's hilariously funny!

I can't believe that the King portrayed by Kim Jung-Hyun is the same guy who got my heart broken from Crash Landing On You. I almost did not recognize him. 

I wished we could see more of Choi Jin-hyuk as chef Bong Hwan, atleast we still see him before the ending. I was actually waiting for the logical explanation of his timeline but I guess the writer needed to focus more on the Joseon era. 

My favorite episode is Episode 12. Andito lahat ng feels and gigil ko. And don't forget those modern food inventions (Mac Dunaldu). :D The cooking episodes were also fun to watch.

The supporting casts are okay. I am not too attached to nor hate them. There are some jokes that are a bit off and corny to me. :p

Now, the ending was crafted perfectly though I have a few questions in mind. But I don't want to complicate the story in my head kasi naenjoy ko naman sya sa kakatawa. If you don't overanalyze the story, the body-swap thing, and the spiritual homosexuality, you'll definitely enjoy this series.

PS: Watch out for the Prequel/Secret Episode too and you'll understand the relationship between the real Kim So-yong and the King. The King felt something already on their first meeting encounter with the destined Queen. Some are asking (even me), that the King is not really in love with So-yong. But let us put it this way, Chef Bong Hwan's soul was just the bridge for the Queen to let out her aggressive character side. Not all may agree because in the series, we don't get to see a lot of So-yong just the memories intertwined in the same body. But yeah, that's how it goes.
