Why You Should Watch It: Who wouldn't love Park Bo Gum and Song Hye-Kyo? This is a heartwarming series with the usual story 'you and me against the world'. The cinematography is also to look out for. Plot: Itaewon Class tells the story of ex-convict Park Sae-ro-yi (Park Seo-joon) whose life has been turned upside down after he gets expelled from school for punching a bully and his father is killed in an accident. Following his father's steps, he opens his bar-restaurant DanBam (Sweet Night) in Itaewon. Alongside his manager, Jo Yi-seo (Kim Da-mi) and his staff, he strives towards success and reaching greater heights while battling against a food conglomerate.
Stars: Seo-joon Park & Da-mi Kim
Why You Should Watch It: This series is more on striving hard to reach your dream goals. That business is not all about the money but the people who help you achieve it. I love the DanBam Squad and how they are so unique. Talking about unique personalities, this series also talks about issues on LGBTQ, racism, discrimination, and social hierarchy. There are only a few sweet scenes but I still loved the fact that Yi-Seo fought for her feelings all the way for Sae-ro-yi. Eto yung series na akala ko hindi ko magugustuhan yung girl but watching this makes me loved and root her more!
How about you guys? Any reasons why you are watching a certain KDrama? Have you watched these series yet? Any recommendation on what to watch next?
