It was the day of Mommy Bloggers Philippines Christmas Party last December 1, 2018. Mommy Bloggers set aside their schedule in blogging and other work related to attend this much-awaited event that happens yearly. They say moms don't have time to party, but when we do, we party harder! :)
THE VENUE - ICON HOTEL TIMOG
Mommy Bloggers Philippines Christmas Party 2018 was held at Icon Hotel Timog. Perfectly situated in the area of the Quezon City district, the hotel is a haven for many as it accommodates those traveling for business or pleasure. It is managed by experienced hoteliers. ICON Hotel Timog’s function rooms are often fully booked holding entertainment press cons, conventions and celebrations from debuts to weddings and more. This hotel also has an all-day dining restaurant to satisfy your cravings.
If you are looking into celebrating your event here they have Christmas Party, even Weddings, Corporate and Social packages.
THE FOOD
Icon Hotel Timog also has a buffet restaurant that has some Yuletide offerings specially prepared for the coming season. They prepared the below menus for us during the party.
We have meat and vegetable dishes as well as desserts. I personally loved the Fettuccini in Marinara, Pumpkin Soup, and the chewy brownies.
THE THEME - AT THE MOVIES
Now let's go to the party! The theme this year was a little different from the last two MBP Christmas parties I've attended. We have the MBP "At The Movies" where you have to wear your favorite movie character. I came as a Totoro from "My Neighbor Totoro" movie. A 1988 Miyasaki Film about a friendly forest spirit. I am not really sure if some of the mommies knew this character as it was a super old anime film. I had fun on wearing and introducing it to my fellow co-mommy bloggers. I will also have a DIY post on how I made this easy costume.
THE MOMMIES OF MOMMY BLOGGERS PHILIPPINES
My co-mommy bloggers are all so game as they came in characters with their favorite movie characters. There's Cleopatra, Snow White, Juno, Isla Fisher of Confessions of a Shopaholic, Audrey Hepburn from Breakfast and Tiffany's and even tagalog movies such as Sharon Cuneta and Toni Gonzaga from My Amnesia Girl. It was so fun guessing the mommies' costumes!
THE GAMES
Of course, the party will not be complete without any games. The table 5 mommies played 'The Family Feud' and won the first prize!
We won 500 worth of Sodexo each!
I am also one of the winners for the Instagram posting contest. Together with mommy Lally & mommy Rochelle, we won another 500 worth of Sodexo! What a lucky day!
We also played the left, right, across envelope game. (sorry I don't know what's the name of the game hehehe) Mommy Louisa of Art of Being A Mom as a host, read a story and everytime she says the word 'right', 'left', and 'across', we should pass our envelope to the corresponding place.
It was so much fun! After the story, we then held to our envelope and everyone has a prize!
There is also an ongoing online contest for Pampers and the winner will be announce soon.
THE RAFFLE PRIZES
Aside from the games, raffle prizes like rice cooker, flat iron, and one lucky mommy won a 32 inch TV!
THE 'AT THE MOVIES' COSTUME PARADE
Top picks to the mommies best dress of the day did a parade. Ten mommies modeled their costume and 4 mommies were chosen out of 10 and won packages from Robinson's Supermarket.
From the chosen four, one winner will be the best-dressed icon. Here are the finalists: Mommy Lariza as Poison Ivy, Mommy Louise of Mommy Practicality as Audrey Hepburn, Mommy Lally of Lally's Reflections as Cleopatra and Mommy Michelle of Rockstar Momma as Wonder Woman.
And the best-dressed icon of the night is none other than Mommy Michelle of Rockstar Momma as Wonder Woman. Pretty and sexy mommy!
