Another KDrama done! I know you'll ask me if I am still sleeping? :D It is a matter of multi-tasking guys! I don't know how I was able to finish another series of super long episodes! This time I watched Strong Woman Do Bong-Soon on Netflix again. BI talaga 'to si Netflix eh! It was recommended by my colleague at work. She kept on insisting me to watch it. At dahil masunurin akong bata, I watched it and was hooked on it. Can you believe I actually felt sad when I was watching the finale? I already miss the 2 main casts! :(
Plot:
Do Bong-soon (Park Bo-young) was born with superhuman strength. Her strength is hereditary and passed along only to the women in her family. Her dream is to create a video game with herself as the main character. She desperately wants to become a willowy and elegant woman, which is the ideal type of her crush, In Guk-doo (Ji Soo), a police officer. Thanks to her strength, she gets the job of a bodyguard to a rich heir Ahn Min-hyuk (Park Hyung-sik), the CEO of a gaming company, Ainsoft. Contrary to Guk-doo, Min-hyuk is an odd man who is playful, a little spoiled, has no regard for rules, and dislikes policemen. He has recently received anonymous threats, blackmails, and has even been stalked at an occasion.
One day, a series of kidnapping cases break in Dobong-dong, the district Bong-soon lives in, and she is determined to catch the culprit after her friend was targeted. With the help and training from Min-hyuk, she manages to control her strength to use it for good causes. Min-hyuk and Bong-soon find themselves and their relationship grew into something more.
Release Dates: February 24 – April 15, 2017

Main Characters:
- Park Bo-young as Do Bong-soon
- Park Hyung-sik as Ahn Min-hyuk
- Ji Soo as In Guk-doo
My Thoughts & Impressions:
- The 2 main leads Bong-Soon (Park Bo Young) and Ahn Min Hyuk (Park Hyung Sik) has a really amazing chemistry that they saved the series with their almost true feelings with the way they look with each other.
- I never thought I'd miss a series like any other KDrama's before. Usually, when I finished one series, I'd moved on and go on with my life. But this series makes it hard for me to forget as I want to see more sweetness from the 2 couple. Hoping they will have another project soon. Haist!
- One of my favorites scenes would be when Min Hyuk confessed to Bong-soon that he will step closer to their relationship as boss and employee. I can feel the electricity and genuine feeling while he was delivering it. Another scene would be when Bong-soon loses her powers and Min Hyuk lay beside her and he whispers "Won't you love me back?" hay this one is for the feels! My heart beats faster and really thought I was palpitating! Hindi lang sa kape pwedeng magpalpitate guys! :) One last scene which I head-over-heels love is the piano scene! It shows how they love for each other grows. The kiss was full of emotion that I am rooting for them in real life! I know I sound like a teenager! :D
- I really don't found Gook Doo involved on a love triangle. From the start, I can see which one I am rooting for. Min Hyuk found Bong-soon charming while the other one nags him having thought that he cares enough for the girl. When he realized that it's too late to let the girl know his feelings, the girl suddenly changed and loves someone else. Oh, the irony! Minsan talaga nadadaig ang mga torpe! Hahaha
- Let me just say that Ahn Min Hyuk is super likable in this series as he can be cheesy and serious at the same time. Who wouldn't want a guy who is so expressive about his feelings and not afraid to show that he is super kilig with just a thought of Bong-soon? It is not so hard to love him! Some of her humor is not that funny though! At least gwapo at chinito sya!
- On the other hand, Bong-soon made a great portrayal of a small girl with great strength. She is so good at showing so little effort over her strength. Though I cringed over on some of her English jokes pero buti na lang talaga cute sya! She is so cute that I wanted to pinch her face and put her in my pocket. Just as Min Hyuk told him that he wanted to put her into his heart. *hearty.eyes*
- Of all the things that I like about this series, the storyline actually bothered me. It has a sweet and cute romantic story but then it has a serial killer story! Really? It boggles my mind in a negative way. It doesn't fit the light storyline.
- Plus, before going to the finale episode, the action seems lacking as he was caught by the 3 main casts.
- Speaking of awkward scenes, Episode 12 showed that Bong-soon's friend was kidnapped and they will have to insert the couples, sweetness. Can they just focus on one emotion alone?
- The logic on Bong-soon's losing her power doesn't really fit as she also hurt innocent people from the past.
- Sorry but I just thought the policemen are so dumb with all the information that they already have and still, they can't catch the culprit (serial killer).
- The goons and high school gang plus the fake monk have a lot of exposure that is not really needed on the story. It felt like they are just throwing anything random. So I can't help myself but forward the scenes until I get past over those random characters.
- Even if there are holes in the storyline, I found myself laughing out loud alone on most part of the scenes. Overall, I loved this Kdrama because of the 2 main casts acting and cuteness. Head-over-heels kilig feels? Definitely! Reminded of those sweet scenes just makes my heart jump! (be still my heart!) I would love to see them again together on another series.
