It is always a pleasure to have a foodie meet-up around Antipolo. I must admit that I am still not familiar with a lot of restaurants in the area especially at Antipolo proper. This time, foodie's are invited by Zomato to try Beeffalo! From my place, I only rode a tricycle going there and advised the driver to drop me off at Antipolo Doctor's Hospital, Beeffalo is just in-front of it so that is your landmark. At first I already saw the cute beefie design but didn't know if its upstairs or what. I asked someone and he was one of the owners! He He He!
The theme of Beeffalo when we got there was summer. They are actually changing the design depends on the season or occasion.
One of the owners said that he wanted to have the place to have a rustic vibe so customers may feel comfortable while dining. The accent wood on the ceiling is really nice and some other elements such as the bicycle and the old rustic car. I really like the thought of rustic so I honestly agree with him that those chairs should be change to match the rustic american vibe.
One of the owners gave us a little background of Beeffalo. They have been operating for almost 12 years. It was known as Hotrocks where the first branch is in Ortigas. They started when every Saturday they will invite friends over and they'd prepared food and grilled meat. Then a lot of people will always come by to taste what they cooked so they decided to put a business from it. With just a capital of P120,000 they started the business with just 3 persons manning it. After 8 months they opened a branch in Libis, then 8 years after they have to shut down the business because they end the contract on the place that they are leasing. They saw a friend from Marikina and asked if they know a place where they can put up the business. They wanted something unusual, where people will travel and discover their place just to try their food. Three things that they really want to describe their business are homey, airy and planty. Though the branch in Antipolo didn't have the planty feeling, it was still homey for me on the way the owner welcomed us. The branch in Antipolo is now 7 months old.
This fishing rod fits with their theme that is under the sea.
Beeffalo mainly offers american food but its home-cooked. They wanted to offer food that is casual and non-pretentious. Let's go to the food that was served, shall we? First was this Roasted Pumpkin Soup that was creamy and hot. You can feel the tiny bits from it and best paired with a bread. I love a more toasted garlic bread for this one.

Tossed or not, the Taco BBQ Salad was good.

I maybe always biased in terms of Pizza but their Pizza Margherita and Three Cheese Pizza are yummy! Generous with cheese, not oily & definitely crisp!

These Beeffalo Wings are served on two flavors; sweet & spicy. Guess which one is the spicy? Nope, its the one at the back. Yeah I know it's quite deceiving, He He He! The sweet one is good but I really love the spicy one! For me, it goes well with the blue cheese dip to neutralize the spiciness.

Did I already mention my favorite dish? It's this one! Their version of sinigang but they want it to be called Sizzling Beef Ribs with Tamarind Gravy. Best paired with rice! And more rice!

This picture tasted BEEF-falo for me!
Porterhouse Steak didn't quite appeal to me. The sauce didn't helped too.

Jack Daniel's Country Style Pork Ribs was marinated with just the right amount of liquor.

Another favorite would be this Baby Back Ribs Full Slab which is so flavorful. So soft that it melts in your mouth! No hard time eating it and you will definitely enjoyed every bite. Sweetness and sinfully delicious all in one!

All good times comes to an end, but not yet till we are done with the Desserts! My always favorite part of a foodie meet-up!
Whatcha gonna do with the dessert??? |
I've tasted a lot of Brazo De Mercedez and I may say that the one in Beeffalo lives to its expectation. The fillings was not too sweet.

Dulce De Leche Cheesecake have a right combination of cheese at the bottom crust with a generous amount of frosting's on top! Yummy!

Turtle Pie was also good. If you want something more chocolatey, go for this one.

The taste of the Banana is very distinct on their Banana Creme Brulee.

The desserts above are good for pairing with a hot cup of coffee which we also had that time. Yeah! Life is really good!
Ube Ice Cream (Scoop P50) |
We thought we already got everything covered 'til we were offered Ice Cream! Who would refused? We tasted Gabi, Cheese & Ube flavors. I like the Gabi one the most.

Happy foodies! |
Another happy foodie meet-up! I will definitely recommend this place to my Antipolo friends. Take note though that on special occasions they have a lot of people who dines here so schedule your way there. I hope to visit their branch in Marikina too, I heard a lot of good things about it.
A lot of thanks to my Zomato family and Beeffalo!
