Another crochet beanie for my twins! Yay! These are their 3rd beanie that I made so far. Whew! The pattern is very much similar to Minion Crochet Beanie and Mike Wazowski Crochet Beanie without the ear flaps. The design of these beanies are very easy. It is a Football Beanie, very much bagay to my boys.
Yarns that I used are the ones found in my favorite store of yarns in Rosario, Pasig. I am looking for a brown yarn but they don't have any so I look for something close which is red with a little brown I think. I used a 5.0 mm hook.
Instructions:
Using the Red Brown Yarn, ch 5, sl st into 1st ch to form a ring.
Round 1: ch 2, (working over yarn tail) 15 dc into ring, sl st into top of ch-2. (16sts)
Round 2: ch 2, *2dc into next st, 1 dc into next st, rep from * around to the last st, sl st into top of ch-2. (24 sts)
Round 3: Using white yarn, ch 2, *2dc into next st, 1 dc into next 2 sts, rep from * around to the last 2 sts, 2 dc into next st, 1 dc into next st, sl st into top of ch-2. (32 sts)
Round 4: Using Red Brown Yarn, ch 2, *2dc into next st, 1 dc into next 3 sts, rep from * around to the last 3 sts, 2 dc into next st, 1 dc into next 2 sts, sl st into top of ch-2. (40 sts)
Round 5: ch 2, *2dc into next st, 1 dc into next 4 sts, rep from * around to the last 4 sts, 2 dc into next st, 1 dc into next 3 sts, sl st into top of ch-2. (48 sts)
Round 6: ch 2, *2dc into next st, 1 dc into next 5 sts, rep from * around to the last 5 sts, 2 dc into next st, 1 dc into next 4 sts, sl st into top of ch-2. (56 sts)
If you want a larger beanie you can still increase the size, just follow the pattern. The one that I am making is for one year old. So I am skipping that step. You can also decrease the size if you are making one for babies, you just skip one or few last rounds.
Round 7 to 9: ch 2, 1 dc into each st around to the end, sl st into top of ch-2.
Round 10 to 11: ch 2, 1 dc into each st around to the end, sl st into top of ch-2.

Round 12: Using a white yarn, ch 2, 1 dc into each st around to the end, sl st into top of ch-2.

To finish it off, I back stitched lines in front of the beanie to look like a football from the above image.
There you go that is the finished Football Crochet Beanie!
