Last week I just finished watching the movie Miracle in Cell No. 7. I watched it out of curiosity because it was all over my Facebook Newsfeed. And it is slightly similar to my all-time favorite Movie which is I Am Sam. So let's take a look at these two films to check if they are similar in any way.

MIRACLE IN CELL NO. 7
This is a 2013 Korean Film that starred Ryu Seung-ryong as Lee Yong-gu, Kal So-won as a young Ye-sung and Park Shin-hye as the adult Ye-sung. The movie is about a mentally challenged man who was wrongfully imprisoned for a crime. He then builds a friendship with his cellmates and helped him sneaked his daughter on their cell.

I AM SAM
This is a 2001 American drama film that starred Sean Penn as Sam and Dakota Fanning as her inquisitive seven-year-old daughter. The movie is about a father with a developmental disability that fights for the custody of his daughter.

Miracle In Cell No. 7 Vs I Am Sam
- Both movies are about a father who will do everything for their daughters though they have disabilities. It will not stop them from being a father.
- Both movies are heartwarming and heartbreaking that you can't stop yourself from crying. It depicts the realization of having a special father that it made me cry hard too. You will also realize that life is not fair.
- Both movies are performed by award-winning actors and actresses. Dakota Fanning won an award portraying her role as an intelligent daughter of Sean Penn. Sean is also spectacular here. I am in awe of his performance. While on the other hand, you will also fall on the casts of Miracle in Cell No 7. Ryu Seung-ryong acts with so much passion as a disabled father that can't defend himself and you can definitely feel his pain.
- Both movies depict the realization of having a special father that it made me cry hard too.
