I almost lost count on how many times I've been to Taytay Tiangge. But I think this is my 4th documented haul. You can check my very 1st haul, 2nd & 3rd. The others in between are not posted. So here I am with the very recent one. Last September 2, 2017, I went back at Taytay Tiangge because I am looking for jogger pants and yung shorts with slits (I don't know what to call that) but ended up not buying those. I planned on spending P500 only but who I am kidding anyway? I spent not little more than 1k for this haul and I bought a lot already with that amount. Taytay is known as the Capital Garments of the Philippines. So it's not new if people flock here to buy clothes. Taytay is also known to be the place where Divisoria, Baclaran and Greenhills get clothes from. Yep, you read that right! I even stumbled into online stores who sell the same clothes but doubled the price. So if you want to know what I got for this haul, tune in and I will also give you some tips along this post.
I went at Taytay Tiangge on a Saturday after lunch time. It was not the best time though. The place is not well ventilated so it's scorching hot. First tip, wear your most comfortable clothes. I was sweating really hard when roaming around the stalls.
Second tip, bring your own ecobag. Most of the stalls will give your bought clothes on a plastic bag so to save our planet earth, please just bring reusable bags or ecobags.
There are stalls inside with a roof over them and there are also outside so be patient on finding those items that you like. There are different stalls here. The Bagpi area and the Freedom Bazaar one which I already blogged before.
Tip no 3, learn to negotiate. Some stalls don't have the same prices. When you search thoroughly, you'll find lower price than the others. You can also go wholesale price which the sellers are also suggesting. Wholesale price requires a minimum of 3 pieces of clothes.
Our number 4 tip is bring enough cash. One time when I went there, I don't have enough money and I still want to buy some items. Good thing, just right across the Tiangge there are atms for BDO and Metrobank so I was able to withdraw.
Second to the last tip, bring refreshers or water. There are actually a lot of street foods there. Mcdonalds, Jollibee and Greenwich are also around the corner.
Our last tip and I think the best one? Go there on their night market schedule. Me and my officemates had an epic fail adventure when we tried going there on a Saturday morning around 1am when the schedule is Thursday morning. The night market schedule is every Tuesday and Thursday morning (Monday - Tuesday: 9pm - 11am and Wednesday - Thursday 9pm - 11am) but some stalls is open during 2am only. You can refer to one of my blogger's friend post about the schedule here.
So now, let me show you my haul. Items that I bought are for myself and my kids. I haven't bought one for my partner because it's expensive to buy clothes for the boys. There are a lot of options for the girls though even for the plus sizes.
4 pieces of kids pants on Medium. I got this on a wholesale price of P80 each.
A jumper skirt with a blouse, P130. I regretted on buying this one because I found a much cheaper jumper which is the one below.
Jumper shorts, P70 retsil price. I wanted to buy it on different colors but I got the jumper skirt above which is why I regretted on buying it. I need to go back for this because its so cute! The spaghetti straps cost P20 each and its available on different colors.
This cute dresses is P80 each, wholesale price. The one on the farther right is the right twinning dress for the off-shoulder blouse that I also bought from Taytay Tiangge.
Cute printed pajamas at P30 each. Those unicorns are adorbs! I wanted to hoard but my cash that time is not enough! It's much cheaper if you bought 4 pieces for only P100. The price ranges on the size. Small size is at P20 each for wholesale and P25 for retail.
Let's go to my haul. This jumper skirt should be the twinning clothes with my daughter. The main reason why I bought the jumper skirt one (image above). And as I've mentioned, I felt disappointed on buying it because this is the most pricey one that I bought. It costs P150. It fitted me ok but I looked like a teenie boppie. So I'll just give this to my niece, just don't tell her. ;)
Next is this jumpsuit that fitted me really nice. I really like the texture of the cloth, the design at and the length of the short is just fine. I got this for P150. It also comes in different designs and did I mentioned that it has pockets?
The last and definitely not the least is this cute Unicorn Hoodie Dress! I love the design and how soft it is! It comes with pockets too! Definitely a steal!
