Hello everyone! Happy New Year! I know this post is super late to great you a Happy New Year, but better late than never right? Well, I've been so busy with my life lately and can't post consistently here on the blog. I don't even have a year-end post, boo! :p But before I can finally rest or file for my Maternity Leave tomorrow, let me have one post for January. I hope you will still stay with me even if I lack post here on the blog. Now to start off, let me show you the crochet projects that I have for my baby girl. As you all know, I am having a scheduled cesarean operation on January 18 for my only baby girl! And as soon as I discovered that we were having a baby girl, I can't help my hands to make crochet projects for her. I already got a lot of pins from Pinterest and patterns for beanies and booties but its for the beanies that I am most comfortable with. Now let me show you what I've finished so far.
Here is the first crochet turban that I made for my baby girl. The size was actually for a toddler's age but nevertheless, we can still use it as she grows.
Planning to crochet a dress. It's my first time to do it and looking into making it with a tutu fabric. I already got the tutu fabric being shipped and so excited how it will turned out. It if turned out really beautiful, I will make one for her baptismal. Yes planning to do handmade's on her Baptism. Karir!
Originally, this project is for my niece from the province. But it was not made on time, sorry baby Tatiana! It was done for almost a year! This pattern also had a lot of tests for the tail fin, I can't find the right match for it. Finally, I was able to finished it last December. I still need to do the Starfish Headband because I am already out of yarns. We hope to use this on her photo-shoot or maybe on her first Halloween experience. Nyahaha! Super advance! :)
I am not really comfortable with making crochet booties or sandals. For me, making one is so intricate with all the small details plus you need to double the sole. But I still challenge myself and make some pairs for my daughter. Here is an attempt of making a crocodile stitch sandals with missing another sole on each and buttons.
Still need to finish this with a ribbon and gems, hopefully.
For me an owl is the simplest design for a beanie so I need to make one for my daughter too. You can check the one's that I made for my twins here.
A super cute chunky newborn crochet beanie which is also easy to make.
And just last weekend, I finished this pair.
Here are the other beanies that I made. I still want to do a lot more but its making my back ache. He He He. I also hope to make big projects but I have two boys that need my attention too so I have to take time slowly. Also planning to handmade the souvenirs for her Baptismal which is way too ambitious! Ha Ha Ha. But you never know right? I always make it to a point that I diy my children's souvenirs as much as possible.
Goodbye for now, and I hope to update you all as soon as my baby girl is out!
