I may not be a Star Wars fan but I do enjoyed all the Star Wars Movie. I can still remember how I manage to watch all the Star Wars Movie starting from the latest going back to the oldest one where I understands the storyline better. That's why it was such a privilege to be invited to the successful event last December 16, 2016 when JCI Marikina Marikit held a special movie screening for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story at SM City Marikina.
About Rogue One, "Jyn Erso, a Rebellion soldier and criminal, is about to experience her biggest challenge yet when Mon Mothma sets her out on a mission to steal the plans for the Death Star. With help from the Rebels, a master swordsman, and non-allied forces, Jyn will be in for something bigger than she thinks." As usual, it was filled with action and Star Wars moments. I really enjoyed the part of IP Man's (Donnie Yen) character as the blind master swordsman. If you have watched Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, this movie gave meaning and depth into it.
Moviegoers paid for an amount of P500 for the tickets which will go a long way. The goal and objective of this event is to raise enough funds to implement the community projects that they will have next year. This is a great project where they provide more opportunities that will empower young people to create positive change.
